Meet the
Inspector
After spending several years in the construction industry
and renovating homes, I decided that it was time to take
the next step in my career. Home inspection was a perfect
fit for both my interests and talents. I have completed
an intensive training course through the American Home Inspectors
Training Institute. I then spent countless hours studying
a variety of home systems and talking with professionals
in many trades. Finally, I founded my own company, serving
Maryland and Washington, D.C. with quality home inspection.
After my family and I relocated to the Triangle, and I re-established
my business serving the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area.
Over the years, I have enjoyed performing
home inspections, educating one client at a time on the
condition and functions of all the major components in their
current or future homes.
My goal in providing a home inspection is
not just to point out concerns in a home, but also to educate
homeowners about the home's systems and proper maintenance.
I am licensed as a home inspector by the
North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board (Licence Number
#2490). As such, my inspections and reports adhere to and
exceed the NCHILB's standards of practice.
I am committed to keeping my skills sharp
and staying on top of the latest developments in the home
building and repair industry. I meet and exceed the continuing
education requirements of the NCHILB. For example, I recently
completed the top-level licensing course for heating, ventilation;
air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC), more training
than most HVAC technicians working in the field receive.
I very much enjoy working with homeowners
and prospective homeowners to help them make educated and
informed decisions. It would be a privilege to work for
you and offer you the same great service I have provided
to so many others.
Warmest regards,
Matthew Bartels
